Situated in one of the most transient and known streets in Madrid, the hostal is located in a building representing the 1930´s in the historic center of Madrid
 
Walking, one is able to vistit the most emblemic sites of Madrid, ( Palacio Real, Puerta de Sol, Plaza Mayor, Museo del Prado...) savor it´s gastronomia, and enjoy the shows and evening and late night events and activities the city has to offer.

There is no need to use public transport for visiting the center of Madrid, however, the hotel is less than 100 meters from 3 different subway stations and bus stop for the tour bus "Madrid Vision¨".

The enjoyable atmosphere of hostal Santillan, which has been family managed for four generations, will assure you feel at home.

Madrid Vision

           The funniest and esasiest way to know the city on our double decker buses. With one ticket, you wiil be able to hop on and off the bus all day along the route oy your choice or change to another, admiring the architectural and cultural magnificence of Madrid, with the commentaries offered trough a headphones audio system in eight different languages (Spanish, English, French,German, Italian, Portuguese, russian and Japanese). You will be given a map of the city. The operational frequency, depending on the season of the year, ranges aproximately between ten and twenty minutes and every route takes about 75 min.
